Decision guide

Find the answer, then take the relevant next action

Manufacturing answers depend on geometry, material, quantity, tolerance, finish, inspection and delivery context. These answers explain the normal workflow and the information needed for review; the submitted quote remains the project-specific commercial record.

Use the search field to filter questions. If an answer depends on sensitive files or a drawing, use the private RFQ intake rather than sending technical data through a general email route.

Frequently asked questions

Questions to resolve before quotation

Use the submitted quote and written clarification as the project-specific record.

What manufacturing processes can MakeNexa source?

The global network can source the processing categories offered by leading manufacturing platforms, including CNC machining, sheet metal, 3D printing, molding, casting, forming, finishing and related secondary operations. Exact supplier and project fit are confirmed per RFQ.

How is pricing prepared?

Submit the files and requirements for an assisted review. The quote is prepared after geometry, material, quantity, quality and delivery context are understood.

Which files can I upload?

The RFQ accepts common neutral and native CAD, mesh, drawing, archive and image formats listed beside the file control. Up to 10 files, 50 MB each and 100 MB total may be submitted.

Is a 2D drawing required?

Not for every early review, but a drawing is strongly recommended when tolerances, threads, finishes, inspection, material notes or controlled dimensions are important.

What if I do not know the process or material?

Select Not Sure and describe part function, environment, quantity, critical interfaces and acceptable alternatives. The review will narrow the practical options.

What happens after I submit?

You receive a stable RFQ reference and email receipt. MakeNexa assesses completeness, asks clarification if needed, reviews the manufacturing route and returns a quote or clear next step.

How are CAD files protected?

Uploads are rate-limited, validated, malware-scanned and moved into private object storage. Public media URLs are not used for accepted CAD packages, and access actions are capability-checked and audited.

Can I request an NDA?

Yes. Mark the NDA request in the RFQ. If your project has specialized data-control or export requirements, state that before sharing restricted content so the handling route can be confirmed.

Can I request inspection or material documents?

Yes. Describe the required report, sampling, material certificate, conformance record or traceability. Availability and scope are confirmed with the selected supplier in the quote.

Can one RFQ contain an assembly or many parts?

Yes. Upload the BOM, SOW, CAD and drawings as a controlled package and identify part numbers, revisions, quantities, assembly relationships and delivery groups.

How do suppliers join?

Suppliers use the application form to submit company, process, material, equipment, certification and quality-document information. Submission creates a review record and does not promise approval or work.

How quickly will I receive a quote?

MakeNexa does not publish a fixed quote-time promise without operating evidence. Response time depends on package completeness, complexity, supplier route, quality requirements and clarification.
